Sharla Watson, President and Founder of Pine Mountain Mortgage, brings over 30 years of comprehensive experience in the mortgage industry. Her career spans every facet of lending, real estate, and banking – from loan processing and origination to branch management and mortgage brokerage—giving her a deep, well-rounded understanding of the home financing process. Her passion for helping families has encompassed implementing and overseeing previous mortgage brokerage offices in Oklahoma, Colorado, and Mississippi, and originating mortgage loans across the United States.

Known by many as “The Mortgage Counselor,” Sharla takes a highly personal, relationship-driven approach to what is often the largest financial decision in a client’s life. She believes every borrower deserves tailored guidance, clear communication, and solutions designed specifically for their unique situation. Her goal is simple: to serve each client with integrity while helping them make the best possible financial decision for their future.

As a Mortgage Broker, Sharla is not only able to offer extensive mortgage experience, but also more loan options to the borrower. Having access to multiple lenders allows more flexibility in comparing rates, programs, and guidelines, which can increase the chances of approval and potentially secure more competitive terms.

Sharla’s experience allows her to confidently navigate even the most complex loan scenarios. Having worked with a wide range of borrowers over the decades, she understands that no two situations are alike. She is especially passionate about helping veterans and their families navigate VA loan benefits—an appreciation rooted in her own family, as her father is a veteran.

Beyond her professional expertise, Sharla’s strength comes from real-life experience. From hardships to blessings, life in the valleys and on the mountain tops, she understands firsthand the challenges many borrowers face. She has personally navigated life events as a previous single Mother, caring for aging parents, blended family dynamics, purchasing primary and second homes, and managing major financial transitions. This perspective allows her to connect with clients on a deeper level and offer guidance that is both practical and compassionate.

Sharla holds a Master’s Degree in Legal Studies from the University of Oklahoma School of Law and is a licensed Mortgage Broker through the Oklahoma Department of Consumer Credit. Her legal education enhances her ability to guide clients through the complexities of lending with clarity and confidence.

When she’s not helping families achieve homeownership or improve their financial outlook, Sharla enjoys spending time with her family, her cherished children and grandchildren and creating lasting memories through adventures in the beautiful Rocky Mountains.
